Scholarships

One of the greatest opportunities for improving one’s life is a quality education.  We endeavor to provide educational opportunities for students in communities across the nation.

Domestic Violence

We provide counseling and share resources needed with women and children who are victims of domestic violence and abuse.

Dick Gregory Foundation

Dick Gregory Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the educational, wellness, and cultural development of African American, and youth. DGF promotes physical development and redevelopment; also economic and social development. 

Culture of People with Disabilities

We work to recognize this yet often overlooked population.  We keep our members aware of ADA and we are dedicated to recognizing the achievements of individuals with disabilities, and the advancement of women within the disability community.

Leadership Training

We provide opportunities for leadership and decision making positions in government, nonprofit organizations and the private sector.

Immigration Reform

We prepare our membership for being a part of the Immigration Reform effort. We work in coalitions with other groups to find a pathway to citizenship for our undocumented brothers and sisters.

Health & Childhood Obesity

We are at higher risk than others on health related matters like obesity, diabetes, hypertension, etc. We provide information on these subjects and teach prevention to parents and students.  We support the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” campaign.

Housing Fund

Shelter is a necessity of life and NCBW raised funds to help those financially challenged to pay their mortgages and rent, sustaining a basic need for all people. 

College for Kids & Teens

This is a comprehensive youth development program model that is multifaceted. It consists of after school tutorial and enrichment programs, career development/mentoring and life skills programs, summer college campus residency programs, Study Abroad Programs, Civil Rights Journey and more.

Human Trafficking

While human trafficking and slavery are challenges around the world, one of our aims is to expose and end this disturbing phenomenon that is still in the U.S.
